The Easy Logic Intelligent Software Automa (Eloisa) Project is the project of a new medium, capable of providing a positive response to the problem of linguistic and cultural diversity. While attempts are being made to construct a universal translator, ancestral languages and ancient cultures are disappearing into the void. It’s time to start working to reverse the trend. If it is true that music resulted from the invention of musical instruments, painting from the invention of brushes and paint and astronomy from the invention of the telescope (and one could on and on), then one could say that no task is impossible if you have the right tool. Our tool for the preservation and rebirth of languages is called the Dialogue Engine.
Technology on a human scale
The Eloisa Project is a reaction to the prediction that English is destined to be the official language of Planet Earth, while languages less associated with the worlds of computers and business will decline more or less rapidly. But here’s another way of looking at it: the ability to bring the situation into equilibrium lies precisely in an intelligent use of computers and business, which is to say, technology on a human scale. The dominance of English can be exploited to enhance the value of weaker languages, including local idioms and dialects.
