E’ previsto per oggi il rientro di suitsat e la relativa distruzione in atmosfera, la posizione non è determinata precisamente per i noti motivi di imprevedibilità di questi eventi…
Questa è la nota di Calsky.com:
19.4h SuitSat Cat:28933 2005-035C Forecasted decay of earth orbiting object in the atmosphere. Orbit data for calculation from 07.09.2006 07:40:00 UTC. Visibility latitude interval: +/-51.6 deg
e questo è l’annuncio scritto da Robert Wainuiomata (NZL) su SeeSat-L:
06/09/2006 10.15 Predicted decay of Suitsat We have an invisible pass of Suitsat at this stage predicted on 7 September at 1606 UTC. and a pass commencing at 1737 with shadow entry towards the end of the pass at relatively low elevation. Both of these passes appear to be within the likely decay window.
I would be interested in comments on the likely visibility of a decay should it occur near here, the first pass being in darkness, the second at dawn. The Suit is stated to have dimensions of 1 metre x 2.5 metres.
Looks like it will be a busy early morning with the above plus a visible shuttle pass and two visible ISS passes to look for! At the moment the long range forecast is for cloud with fine spells so prospects for observation are uncertain.
