Ciao non so se avevate inviato la petizione ma sembra abbia funzionato
Ecco il testo della mail che ho ricevuto ieri:
Dear Friends and Colleagues:
I am writing to share wonderful news with you - the Italian Space Agency (ASI), currently under the leadership of the Commissario Straordinario, Prof. Aldo Sandulli, extended AGILE operations for an additional 12 month period. This extension follows the positive evaluation of AGILEās scientific results from its first six years of operations.
On behalf of Prof. Marco Tavani, Mission P.I., and the entire AGILE Team, I would like to personally thank every one of you for the invaluable support you gave by signing the āAGILE Must Go Onā petition. The petition provided the Mission Board with overwhelming evidence of the strong interest of the national and international communities regarding the future of AGILE helping them favorably decide on an immediate restart of the Missionās fully functional activity.
By clicking on the following link, you can view the global support for AGILE (see: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1spayMTpX8d-Q7RUWaHCk43WHPytZQA8Pmk2GYLt1J1g/viewform). It features supportersā names literally coming out in a galactic spiral from the center of the Crab Nebula.
The ASI Science Data Center (ASDC) and the AGILE Team, also provide us with the captivating first-day-after-restart data acquisition animated temporal sequence (http://www.asdc.asi.it/images/2.0/news/AGILE_restart_March14_anim_1d-intm_big.gif). There, AGILE is opening, again, its gamma-ray eyes onto the universe.
Good luck AGILE and welcome back!
Respectfully,
Franco Paoletti, Ph.D.
