General Observer Programs in Cycle 3
[…] The Cycle 3 GO program includes 253 proposals for approximately 5,500 hours of JWST prime time and up to 1,000 hours of parallel time, as well as 25 archival and 12 theory proposals. This establishes the program for JWST’s third year of science operations, reflecting the aspirations of the worldwide community of observers. The selected proposals were prepared by more than 2,097 unique investigators from 41 countries, including 39 U.S. states plus D.C., 18 ESA member states, and 6 Canadian provinces. Twelve percent of the proposals are led by student Principal Investigators.

The James Webb Space Telescope’s targets over the next year include black holes, exomoons, dark energy — and more
Their program will look at a Jupiter-sized planet orbiting the star Kepler-167 about 1,100 light-years from Earth. The planet transits its star, crossing the star’s face to cast a worldly shadow toward Earth about once every 1,000 days. The next transit will unfold on October 25, when Cassese and Kipping will be looking with JWST’s far-seeing infrared eye in search of telltale evidence for one or more accompanying exomoons down to the size of Jupiter’s own Ganymede or Callisto.
